The studio is located in the Grand Lake area of Oakland, near the Morcom Rose Garden.
Jessica has been teaching since 2013. Her teachers include the late Bob Liekens, Madeline Black, Kathi Ross Nash, Blossom Leilani Crawford, Cynthia Shipley, Pat Guyton, Cara Reeser, and Deborah Lessen, among others. She has completed two comprehensive certifications (over 1000 hours of training) through Equinox Pilates and Real Pilates, as well as hundreds of hours of continuing education.
In 2022, she graduated from the Pilates Professional Advanced Teacher Training program with Kathi Ross Nash. She has also participated in a week long cadaver dissection course with Thomas Myers (of Anatomy Trains) to further deepen her knowledge of the human body.
Her other certifications include:
ELDOA Method, a system of postural exercises that uses myofascial stretching to target a specific joint region to provide relief from pain and restore balance
Franklin Method, a method of training that uses dynamic neurocognitive imagery (DNI) to improve movement patterns
Jessica works with clients of all ages and levels. Some of her specializations include working with athletes, pre and post natal clients, diastasic recti recovery, and scoliosis.
